Albion Falls

Hamilton is the waterfall capital.

Apparently, there are over 100 waterfalls just in the Hamilton area alone, not even taking into consideration, the rest of the Niagara escarpment.

That’s a lot of waterfalls.

I was reading about it last weekend, and realized I’ve only ever seen a handful of them. It’s a shame because I’ve lived around here nearly all my life. We miss so much when we don’t pay attention.

Monday was such a beautiful day, we had to get out and enjoy it. It was one of those rare moments when the weather was not too hot for Jeremy, and not too cold for me. We had to take advantage while we could, so I picked the waterfall at the top of the alphabetical list, and we hit the road.

So, there’s one down, and only 99 to go.

Wow! I had no idea! That’s such an interesting fact. I went to Niagra when I was younger on a fam vacation, but haven’t been back since. Maybe its time to check it out 🙂

These photos are stunning! I’m guilty of the same thing here in western Pennsylvania. We have so many parks and natural areas and I’ve been to about three of them. I need to get on that.
