Applesauce is one of those things that I love, but only if it’s homemade. Thankfully, it’s one of the easiest things to make, and if you use a crock pot, it becomes even more effortless.
Plus, it makes your house smell awesome while it cooks.
8-10 apples (I used McIntosh)
1/4 cup Maple Syrup
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1. Peel, core, and slice the apples.
2. Place them in the slow cooker with maple syrup, cinnamon and lemon juice.
3. Set crock pot to low and cook for six hours, occasionally stirring the apples.
When the sauce has cooled a bit, you can blend it until smooth with a food processor or blender. However, if you’re like me, and prefer a chunky sauce, it’s ready to serve!
