As part of my continuing effort to do more touristy stuff close to home, I went to a NHL game on Tuesday. The tickets were courtesy of my awesome employers, and I brought along a friend, who unlike me, is a real hockey fan. She had never been to a Maple Leafs game though, so this was a new experience for both of us.
Although I’ve often expressed my distain for hockey and the aggressive, neanderthal culture that seems to come with it, I have to say, it was a lot much fun to watch live. I can’t see myself embracing real hockey fanaticism, but I certainly won’t pass up free tickets if the opportunity presents itself again. We had such a fabulous time!
After the game, we wandered around for a bit, to get away from the crowd, while we waited for our train home.
The CN Tower looks so pretty at night.
Back at Union Station, we took paused to take some pictures of the landmark building. Back when I used to walk though this hall, twice a day, every day, I failed to notice how beautiful it is. Of course, there’s a big difference between rush hour and late evening here.
It was so peaceful like this.
