While I do love the rock and/or roll, getting out to a concert is a rare occasion for me. Especially an arena show in the city. I just don’t go out of my way to see live music anymore. Then, I was given a pair of tickets to the Duran Duran show at the Air Canada Center last night, and I was reminded of just how much love seeing bands live.
As a child in the 80s, I would sometimes sit in my room and listen to my Seven and Ragged Tiger cassette. I never would have thought, almost 3 decades later, I’d actually be 40 feet away from Simon LeBon.
I tried to take some video when they did The Reflex, but it turns out, you can’t get decent footage when you’re jumping up and down screaming WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOO, while holding the camera.
Considering today was a work day, it was a late night out, so I’ve been so sleepy today. My throat’s also little raw from screaming and I still have some slight ringing in my ears. It was totally worth it though. What a fantastic night!
