You would think I’d have come home from our recent trip to New York City with some fabulous new clothes but all I bought was a black blazer from The Gap and an I heart New York fridge magnet.
It was not for lack of trying. We spent almost and entire morning in the 34th Street Macy’s, followed by a detour to DSW and Filene’s Basement. Then, while wandering around Chelsea, I found a store called Shoegasm, where I tried on a least 10 pairs of shoes. Still, I came home practically empty handed.
Isn’t that always the way though? The times you really set out to do some serious shopping, you come home with nothing. Then other times, when you stop at the mall for something specific with no intention of browsing, you walk out with a million things you had no idea you needed or wanted.
Or maybe that’s just me.
Back on the homefront, I’ve been hitting the thrift stores pretty hard. I’ve been gathering up some fall clothes, since the end of summer is inevitable now and it’s always nice to have some new (or at least new to me) things when the cold weather comes.
Along with the change in season, I’ve decided to make a small change on my blog. I’m moving the shopping/wearing portion of my blog to Tumblr.
It just feels right.
