What I Wore This Week

Monday was hot. Really hot. The kind of hot where $2000 actually sounds like a reasonable price to pay to fix the broken air conditioner in my 11 year old jalopy.

I won’t though. Instead, I have this dress, which is my go-to hot weather frock. It’s cotton, shapeless and unlined. It’s the least amount of clothing I can wear and still be office appropriate.

On Tuesday I woke up with a bad case of the sniffles. It came on so suddenly, I was sure it was just allergies, but later in the day when the sore throat and headache kicked in, I realized I was sick. I managed to spend all day at work on Tuesday, but I was in such a fog, I can‘t even remember what I wore, let alone take a picture. Then, Wednesday was a total pajama day, spent in bed.

On Thursday I woke up feeling crummy again. After I took a shower, I felt a lot better, so I got dressed and went to work.

Top: H&M, Skirt: Old Navy, Shoes: Clarks, Jewellery: Foxy Originals.

That good feeling didn’t last. I was home and back in bed by 2:30.

Then, it was Friday. I was still feeling lousy, but not enough to spend another day at home.

Tank: Reitmans, Cardigan: RW&Co. Belt: American Eagle Outfitters, Skirt: Esprit, Shoes: Clarks, Jewellery: Foxy Originals.

OMG summer colds are THE worst! We both had one a few weeks ago. You sound like you got it really bad! Hope you’re feeling better by now. That denim skirt looks really really good on you!
