Random Thoughts

Lately my mind has been a whirlwind of unfocused thoughts and questions. I think it has a lot to do with my annual bout of low grade seasonal depression combined with the fact that despite my urge to hibernate, I tend to get really busy this time of year. Whatever it is, I can’t seem to concentrate on anything. Here’s a glimpse of some of the random things that have been on my mind this week…

Earlier this week, I dreamt that Martha Stewart was visiting us at home, and during dinner she was telling dirty jokes. I know it was just a dream, but now I adore her even more.

Has anyone ever had headaches from drinking too much Green Tea?

If The Gap’s essential cut jeans were so essential, why don’t they sell them any more?

Does anyone know where I can buy Amaranth Flour, preferably in the Greater Toronto Area? I’ve tried ALL of the grocery stores in Burlington, including the Bulk Barn and smaller health food stores.

I know political attack ads have been around for a while, but when did this become acceptable? Back in the mid 1990s, when I was studying for my Public Relations diploma, this was considered weak and unprofessional. Who are these people that think these ads are good idea?

Where can I buy relatively inexpensive, but decent quality sun block in 3oz. containers?

While I’m as concerned about air safety as the next person, I resent the fact that I have to run around looking for sun block in 3oz containers. The alternatives are spending $25 to check my tiny bag, paying exorbitant toursit prices for sunblock at our destination, or squeezing my existing sun block into 3oz containers. I’m outraged by the thought of doing any of these things.

Why am I getting so worked up over sun block?

Riceworks Parmesan and Sundried Tomato chips are incredibly delicious.

How soon can we get our cedar trees pruned? Do we have to wait until spring?

Every time I hear about the proposed citizens arrest bill here in Canada, I think about Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol. Incidentally, and to my chagrin, Netflix on Demand doesn’t have this timeless classic available.

Now, can someone send me some Ritalin, so I can get though the rest of this winter?
