One of my co-workers mentioned that she had yet to see a picture of the tree I’ve been nattering on about for the last few weeks.
I feel like this unveiling is going to be anti-climatic. Although I’ve been going on and on about it, it really isn’t that impressive.
So, without further ado, I give you the Sisson/Todd family Christmas Tree!
As I mentioned in an earlier post, it’s artificial. We bought it from Costco. It was the most realistic looking tree we could find in our preferred price range (cheap). The floor model was perched about 8 feet off the ground, making it hard to gage the actual size so we were surprised when we brought it home to find that it took up about a third of our living room. After discussing (arguing about) the possible solutions to the giant tree dilemma (remove the furniture or take it back), we discovered that if we only used 2 of its 3 sections, it was a reasonable sized tree. I then spent the next few days gathering ornaments. There are some new ones, some antiques and few of my great-grandmother’s sent to me by my mom last week. Last night, I hung the finishing touch – Victorian icicles Jeremy picked up at Lee Valley.
So that’s it. Now it’s time to get the presents wrapped.
