The garden we inherited with our new home is not for amateurs like me. Unfortunately my adventures in gardening have not been overwhelmingly successful so far. Weeds, fungus, bugs and animals have been giving me a run for my money.
I have won a few battles with mother nature though. Earlier in the season our local rabbits ate my pepper plants down to nubs. I replanted the remains in pots and they actually made it.

In addition to saving the peppers, I’ve managed to keep a few flowers and herbs alive. I’m also expecting a bumper crop of tomatoes and hopefully a squash or two.
Despite the challenges, I really enjoy gardening. Through trial and error (mostly error) I’ve been learning a lot. Although I’m feeling a little defeated this year, I’m already looking forward to next summer. Next year, my garden is going to rock!
